Ash looks on sheepishly as the older woman continues to order cakes on the cstomer facing display before her.
"S-sorry I didn't mean to spook you!"
She bluntly states "You must be the new starter on the rota, yes?"
Ash jolts: "oh! Yeah, that'd be me!"
the older woman, still facing away from ash, turns her head to Ash. "My name is Flori. Have you worked on the cake counter before?"
Ash tries to ask "How are you this morning-" but is cut off.
Ash cheerfully replie "Yeah, no, I've been closing down tge counter on weekends for the last few months!"
Flori turns to Ash again. "Then you generally know what to do, yes?"
"I think so!"
Flori gestures to the bin bags, empty boxes and cages littered around the shopfloor of the section, not meeting Ash's eyeline still. "I see. Then you can start by emptying the bins for me. Don't take too long. As I need you to start right away and put all of the new stock away in the chillers."
Ash chirps with a "Sure!"
