2020 art – this is the original version of the comic now, with plains to slowly update the dialogue for this chapter once I am able. I am aware the pages numbers no longer match. 👍😅
Thank you for your understanding C:
Old versions are being compiled on my Extras section as I go

I would like to thank the photographers out there who valiantly take photos of supermarkets across the world. They are the true MVPs for providing invaluable reference material.
I wasn’t kidding when I said I was practising backgrounds this chapter. Also yes, I spent two days making myself a new font! Now uses probably around nearly half the page less space as before!
oh hey CJ is back, noice 👌

[The scene changes back to behind the patisserie cake counter, where Ash is doing some basic cleaning. CJ approaches from the left and greets him unenthusiastically.]
CJ: Hey hey.
Ash: Hey.
[Ash leans forward on the counter slightly towards CJ, he on the opposite side is leaning on the counter glass between them.]
Ash: Um... got much left to do on deli?
CJ: Yeah but it's fine. I'll just sign for it all anyway,
Ash: erm... alright.
[Looking concerned about that attitude, Ash walks to the other side of the counter as the scene pulls back to off more of the section, most notably that there is currently no one else there but CJ and Ash.]
CJ: School's still boring. People are still stressing. Still nothing to do. Same old shit.
[A shot of the other end of the store of one of the checkouts, which has a young lady with a pixie cut staring desperately bored into nothing with the backdrop of the night sky from the windows behind her being her only company. There are generally no customers in the store whatsoever right now]
Ash: Yeah I - don't know why I expected anything else...
CJ: Hey hey.
Ash: Hey.
