Thanks for being patient over the brief hiatus! Chapter 7 continues onwards!
I’m the timid type who spooks whenever someone catches me having a sing to myself – especially when you have that one song in your head where maybe the lyrics aren’t quite… family friendly?
Also yeah here’s the song that was in my head as I was writing and thus now in Damian’s head (it was blasting from his radio alarm too)

Damian is in the dimly lit room that is the general office, reaching for a handset from the racking labelled “food service”
He hums to himself as he grabs the handset, thinking how lucky it is no one from another department has stolen the food service handset already.
He sings under his breath as begins to check the day's staff rota.
Lyrics dance around him though most are in a self absorbed mumble.
Just as he comes to the lyric "Will I run away?" Which is screamed in the song, he breaks into a surprised yelp as Kevin strolls in from behind , catching him completely off guard.
"Morning!"
Damian looks coolly back at Kevin, trying to hide his surprise as he yelps "Morning" back to him after being caught singing to himself.
Kevin chirps in with a "Ah! Hello again!"
